Hacienda HealthCare hosted a series of events for patients, residents and their families to celebrate the Spring holidays!

Treasurable Moments
Traditional Irish music made its way to Hacienda HealthCare on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th. Tim and Julie Smith entertained our clients and staff by singing Irish Folk Music while playing the accordion and piano. Marcus, our resident leprechaun, brought smiles and laughter to everyone!

An Eggcellent Day
No Easter at Hacienda is complete without an Easter Egg Hunt! Residents collected colorful treat-filled eggs and received a special visit from the Easter Bunny—who some may recognize as Brian Henrie, Hacienda SNF Administrator. A special thanks goes to our Therapeutic Recreation team for ensuring our residents had a fun-filled Easter holiday.

Mexican Culture Brought to Life
In 2011 UNESCO recognized mariachi as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This fundamental element of Mexican culture came to life for our residents during Hacienda’s 2017 Cinco de Mayo event. A traditionally dressed trio ensemble serenaded residents with regional classics and dance worthy corridos. Residents joined in with maracas, tambourines and impromptu zapateados—a lively Mexican style of dance akin to tap. Chips, salsa, guacamole, and a delectable spread of pan dulce (Mexican pastries) rounded out the festivities.
