So aptly phrased by Tina Meredith to describe this year’s 14th annual themed prom, “Mardi Gras.” Brightly donned clients with beads and feathered costumes flooded the front parking lot in mid-October as they were wheeled to the celebration. Scattered along the fringes were elaborate floats that had been carefully and secretly decorated by department teams and were now waiting to be judged for best of show. Giant stilt walkers roamed through the party causing excitement and surprise among our clients and residents. It was another memorable evening of celebration and photo ops for family and their loved ones who call Hacienda home.
Prom is always a fun time for Hacienda clients, their families, and the staff and managers that take care of them. The event, started by local Hacienda resident, Jibri, is fully funded by employee donations, organized and hosted by employee volunteers of Hacienda. We want to thank the employees of Hacienda for 14 years of giving of their time, talents and treasure, to make this tradition a highlight in the special lives that we are privileged to serve. A special thanks to Tina Meridith, Prom Chair, and the very creative prom committee. What will be the theme next year?
